IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR MSC 2026​

Always check this important update section for any changes in the routes before heading out on your summits.

AllTrails has had some glitches this year with its app, and they have been pushing frequent updates to fix things. Before heading out on any of your summits you'll want to check for any app updates. It usually takes less than a min to update it. If updating it still doesn't fix any glitches, then uninstall and reinstall the app. It should run smoothly after doing it.

Knibbs Knob 

The Beginner Level Route has been removed from the MSC 2026 due to a gate closure and access to the trailhead.​

Knibbs Knob (Intermediate Level) has replaced it. The trailhead is on the east side of Knibbs Knob in Uvas Canyon County Park. The new 4.1 mile route is viewable on the OTP AllTrails profile in the Intermediate List

Mt Tamalpais Triple Peaks (Advanced Level)

There is a slight change in the route. If you’re planning to hike this Advanced Level summit, please be sure to use the updated route from the OTP AllTrails profile. If you previously downloaded the route, you’ll need to download the updated version.

Montara Mountain Four Peaks (Advanced Level)

The route has been updated with a modified turn/section by Highway 1. Total mileage stays basically the same. You'll want to redownload your map in AllTrails if you've already downloaded it.

New EAST BAY SUMMITS in the MSC 2026!

Four new summits were added today that are located in the East Bay. This will make summits more accessible for those who live in the area.

These custom routes are exclusively created for the Mountain Summit Challenge 2026. Challengers must hike the official routes for their summits to count. â€‹Routes are organized by Summit Level and hosted on AllTrails through the Ocean To Peak Adventures profile.

  • Be register for the Mountain Summit Challenge 2026

  • Follow Ocean To Peak Adventures on AllTrails

To Access the Summit Routes

  1. Open the AllTrails app and leave the app open

  2. Go to the Ocean To Peak Adventures profile on AllTrails

  3. Click "Lists" and select the appropriate MSC 2026 Summit Level

  4. Choose your summit to view the official route​​​​

Downloaded Offline Maps (Important):

  1. Open the AllTrails app

  2. Go to your Downloads

  3. Select the downloaded summit route

  4. Tap the map icon (bottom-right) to open navigation

Tapping the cover photo while offline may show “Content Unavailable.” This is a known iOS behavior.

ANDROID USERS

Due to a current AllTrails software issue, MSC 2026 Summit Lists may not appear inside the app for Android users.

  • Open the links in AllTrails and select your summit routes
