OTP Community Team
Inspire, Experience, Connect
For those who feel called to take a more active role in shaping the community, we offer the opportunity to join the OTP Community Team, a dedicated group of leaders, organizers, and volunteers who help make a positive impact in people’s lives and bring the OTP vision to life. Community Team members cultivate meaningful relationships and help create spaces where others can thrive.
With members located across different states and cities, the OTP Community Team is the engine that drives impact, inspires growth, and spreads the OTP lifestyle far and wide. Some host or co-host events, others assist at events, and many help behind the scenes with planning, brainstorming, logistics, or community support.
How Team Members Get Involved
Roles are flexible, and Community Team members contribute in ways that match their interests, availability, and strengths.
Ways team members commonly help include:
-
Hosting or co-hosting Day Events (beginner hikes, short paddles, snowshoe outings, yoga sessions, movie nights, socials, etc.)
-
Assisting at Day Events by welcoming participants, answering questions, or helping with logistics
-
Brainstorming ideas for new events or trips
-
Scouting out locations
-
Helping with planning, research, or behind-the-scenes coordination
The goal is to contribute in ways that feel enjoyable, manageable, and meaningful.
Participation Expectations
Community Team members typically help with six events per year. This involvement can take many forms: hosting, co-hosting, assisting at events, or contributing behind the scenes. The emphasis is on steady involvement over time, not intensity or scale.
Who We Invite to Apply
We welcome OTP members who have actively participated in OTP events to apply for the Community Team. Team members are invited from within the OTP Community after spending time at events, building relationships, and demonstrating a genuine interest in contributing.
