OTP, or Ocean to Peak Adventures, is an inclusive outdoor adventure community where people from all walks of life come together to explore the outdoors, travel to new destinations, and create lasting memories. OTP leads dynamic adventures that blend exploration, personal growth, and real human connection.

OTP Adventures hosts Day Events, Skill-Building Classes, and Multi-Day Adventure Trips, each of which is led by an experienced OTP team leader. Day Events include activities like hiking, paddle boarding, cold plunges, snow shoeing, and more. Skill-Building Classes are taught by experienced OTP instructors where you’ll learn about mountain safety, wilderness navigation, backpacking gear essentials, intro to paddleboarding, and more. Multi-Day Adventure Trips are overnight group adventure trips that take place across the country. Whether camping or staying at a hotel or AirBnb, all logistics are provided in a fully planned travel itinerary so you can fully immerse yourself in the moment, including pre-planned hikes, group activities, and more.

The OTP Mountain Summit Challenge, or MSC, is an exciting 12-month challenge for anyone who enjoys hiking and wants to be motivated and inspired to hike more and conquer more challenging trails. Hikers are challenged to complete any number of summits (either solo or with a group) from the provided MSC Summit list which includes hikes categorized by difficulty level: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert. Submit your summits and track your points in the MSC Climber Results to see how much progress you’ve made. OTP Adventures was first created in Sacramento California and now has Adventure groups on the West and East Coasts with adventurers joining from across the country. The majority of our active community comes from Sacramento, San Francisco, the Bay Area, and Northern California, while others join us from across the State and Country.

OTP hosts events, classes and trips all throughout the state of California, the West Coast, and the Country. Single-Day Events and Skill-Building Classes are typically more ‘local’ and are primarily located in the Sacramento Valley and surrounding areas, the Bay Area, and the Sierra Nevada and surrounding areas. The OTP Northeast and OTP Southern CA groups host events local to their respective areas. Multi-Day Adventure Trips take place across the Country. We’ve explored and adventured in areas in Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Utah, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Wyoming, Idaho, and more.

OTP is a public community organization that welcomes everyone, no matter your experience level or background. We welcome experienced mountaineers, beginner hikers, and everyone in between. There is no membership to become part of the OTP Community; to attend one of our events, just RSVP, register, and show up at the pre-planned date, time and location. Whether you’re joining solo or bringing a friend, you’ll be met with encouragement, inspiration, and a group of like-minded people excited to welcome you into the OTP Community.

Yes! Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the OTP Community regardless of experience level or background. Some of our adventures are geared toward beginner/intermediate while others are geared toward intermediate/advanced. Experience level requirements are listed in each adventure description.

In a world that often prioritizes profit over people, we take a different path. OTP’s mission is to inspire others, build community, and lead others to a more fulfilling lifestyle. In everything we do, we find value in enriching people's lives.

We commit ourselves to planning high quality and professional events, classes, and trips with care and intention, and offer them to the OTP Community for free or without inflated price tags. Most of our multi-day Adventure Trips usually are only $200–$300, even though traditional travel companies often charge $1,200–$3,500 for similar itineraries. Any funds we generate are channeled directly back into the OTP Community to develop and host more unique events and classes, expand local groups, and support the OTP Community Team and leadership.

Adventure should be meaningful, accessible, and community-centered - not driven by profit. This generosity and commitment foster genuine connection and relationships in the OTP Community and fulfillment beyond profit.

OTP Adventures is community driven. If you are an active part of our community and have been attending more recent events, you're welcome to join our Community Team. This dedicated group of organizers and volunteers help plan and host OTP events and bring the OTP vision to life. Our Community Team makes a positive impact in people's lives, cultivate meaningful relationships, and create spaces where others can thrive.

Yes! If you don’t know anyone in the group, that’s okay. At our activities, where thousands of friendships have formed, you’ll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people who enjoy adventuring outdoors and connecting with others.
