OTP Basecamp: Camping or Hotels

CAMPING

Camping at the OTP basecamp is included in this trip. The area is flat and ideal for camping. We will camp together as a group. NOTE: This will be primitive/dispersed camping. There are no park services at our location. You will need to bring your own water, gear, and supplies. Vaulted bathrooms will be available at most trailheads and locations we'll be visiting.

Basecamp opens on the first day at 1pm and the trip finishes 1pm on the last day (you can arrive and depart on this trip at any time you like).

HOTLE ROOM OPTIONS:

Rooms are available inside the national park and also within an hour drive of the park. This is a great option for non-campers. Rooms are not included in this trip and attendees will need to book their own rooms.

Level of Activities

The activities will be easy to intermediate level. The trails are maintained and our pace will be easy going. The group will stay together and take breaks at alluring locations. Our longest hike is 4.5 miles through a canyon and it's okay if you don't hike the full distance. The scenery throughout the trip will be incredible regardless of how far you hike and it will be easy to find your way back. Sandboarding down the dunes is fun and we will be sitting on sleds.

Easy activities: You can eat at restaurants inside the park, get ice cream and treats at an ice cream shop, walk around the small town/shops, enjoy the visitor center, drive-up to the scenic lookouts, and more.
