Join Ocean To Peak Adventures for this exciting 4 days and 3 nights in Southern California. We’ll be immersed in impressive locations inside desert canyons, along canyon ridges and peaks, through slotted canyons, and in Joshua Tree National Park. This multi-day adventure is organized and led by OTP.

OTP Basecamp: Camping/Hotels

Camping at the OTP basecamp is included in this trip. There are options to book rooms as well.

We will camp together as a group in a unique location inside a beautiful desert canyon. This will be primitive/dispersed camping (no park services) inside OTP basecamp. You can bring a tent, vehicle, camper van, or small trailer to basecamp. You will drive into basecamp (backpacking not needed) and set up your camp spots and supplies. You will need to bring all of your own water, toiletries, gear, supplies, and food..There are basic bathrooms (vaulted toilets) at/near basecamp and also at the majority of the trailheads and locations we’ll be visiting.

SHOWERS AND BATHROOMS:
There are vaulted toilets at/near basecamp. There are showers (for a fee) at a rest area just 20 mins from basecamp.

HOTEL ROOMS & AIRBNBS:
Both can be booked in the bigger towns/cities like Indio roughly 40 mins from basecamp. This is a great option for non-campers and those flying. Rooms/Airbnbs are not included in this trip and attendees will need to book their own rooms.

Level of Activities

Attendees can choose to participate in any or all activities. The pace of the activities is easy going and the group will stay together. Some activities are easy hikes. Others are intermediate like climbing ladders on the trail, going under and over boulders, squeezing between canyon walls, hiking 5+ miles in a canyon, and more.

A few activities are more challenging, and only advanced adventurers will participate like climbing ropes up canyon walls, scrambling up and down boulders, and rock scrambling over boulders, and squeezing between rocks in the dark.
